Simple Feast
Simple Feast are an Edinburgh-based sandwich and catering business. They specialise in providing lunches for the city's busy legal profession and other groups of office workers in the capital. Once an office has joined the service they are given a user name & password that allows individuals to place a daily order for their lunch. The site that the end-user sees is deceptively simple. There is just one main page - the menu and order form. The user completes their order before a given deadline and submits it to Simple Feast who will then deliver their chosen lunch to their desk. The majority of this project involved the development of an online system to allow all of these orders to be processed and billed in real-time. The management screens allow Simple Feast staff to track orders from their submission through to fulfillment and subsequent billing. The simplicity of the site (both front-end presentation and ease of use of the administration functions) was an important consideration throughout this project. |
